This is one of my best friends, Jason Thai. A couple days ago he turned 18. Yesterday, we surprised him for his birthday. He had no clue. Although, it was a bit suspicious, he didn’t even catch on. Even when he walked into the restaurant, he was still oblivious. He didn’t even notice that his friends were all sitting there waiting to surprise him. Surprise, surprise bud!
So I found this picture, and I thought about how much we’ve been through together. From first meeting, all the way to today. The first day we met, I snuck out to chill with you. I met your creepy friend Steven, and you guys were drinking. (Keep in mind that this was like 5 years ago). I was in 8th grade, and you were a baby faced freshman. HAHA, loser. We hit it off pretty quick, and became best friends in no time. We made a bet that year. You said you’d get taller than me in a year, and I bet you wouldn’t. You went on trips with us to Tahoe, Vegas, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Socal. We pretty much traveled the southwest coast together. After I moved to private school, we lost touch a bit, but no big deal. Junior year came along, and I decided to transfer to Valley with you. We went to school together, finally!
Can you believe it? We started as simple friends. Turned ourselves into best friends, and three years later, attended high school together. What a ride, huh?
Well, you’re finally legal. You have work, school, and a girl to talk care of. I understand your situation, and I’m glad you still find time for me and for everyone else. I hope you had a good 18. Oh, and happy five years bud! You’re finally taller than me, and before I forget… Get naked you beezyy.
I love you bestfriend and if I could, I’ll do all that I can to keep all my friends close for the years to come. The past weekend has been one of the best, if not the best birthday of my life. Thanks for sticking with me through all the goods and all the bads and most importantly, thanks for your friendship.
